Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Damen Mayer (ranked 911 p4p, 1259 weight class) and Pablo Noriega (ranked 106 p4p, 146 weight class). Noriega is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by MS-13 Mara Salvatrucha. Pablo Noriega will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Damen Mayer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pablo Noriega!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noriega connects with a nice looking jab.
Noriega gets tackled into the cage by Mayer. Mayer maintains the clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Noriega.
Noriega scores with a shoulder strike.
Noriega is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mayer tries to throw a body punch but Noriega avoids it by throwing Mayer back against the cage.
Mayer misses with a punch to the body.
Noriega lands a nice elbow.
Mayer tightens his grip and picks Noriega up, before dumping him to the ground. Noriega manages to land in guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Noriega is on top in guard.
Noriega tries to free his leg and advance position but Mayer is retaining full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mayer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Noriega gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mayer throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Mayer has his foot on Noriega's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Noriega works his way back into a safe position though.
Noriega is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Mayer has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Noriega doesn't defend quickly enough and Mayer has managed to lock this one up! Can Noriega escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Mayer on a fantastic submission victory.
