And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vasile Popa!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popa throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Boyd stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Boyd misses with a hook
enabling Popa to counter with a crisp jab.
Boyd cracks Popa with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Popa looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Boyd finish him?
Popa is rocked!
It looks like Vasile Popa has been cut.
Popa should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Boyd is stalking Popa. Popa circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Boyd, and it's lights out! Popa really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
