Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Landon Ford (ranked 2537 p4p, 5005 weight class) and Anti Happy (ranked 253 p4p, 391 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Happy's choice of entrance music: Bvana iz lagune & Mikri Maus - AntiHepi. Anti Happy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Landon Ford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anti Happy!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Anthony Taglia and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ford lands the left hand.
Ford tries to bum rush Happy with a series of wild strikes but Happy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ford jabs Happy to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Happy shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Happy showed some decent athleticism there.
Happy is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ford has managed to free his arm - good work.
Happy sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ford defending well though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ford won't allow Happy to pass to mount.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Happy lands a nice short elbow.
Happy wants to free his trapped foot but Ford is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Happy uses his free foot to push down on Ford's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ford.
This has been an exciting period of action!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Happy working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Happy sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Ford is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at FIGHT FOUNDERS (CA), so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Ford tries to hold on but Happy postures up.
Happy postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ford looks a forlorn figure.
Happy wants to control the action but instead Ford gets a body lock and reverses into Happy's guard! Nice work!

Happy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Happy throws his legs up looking for a submission but Ford uses it to pass to side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Happy sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Happy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ford's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ford's back!
Ford has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Happy.
Ford defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Happy's arms.
Happy throws a series of strikes and Ford wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here.

Happy thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Ford holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Happy tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Happy cracks Ford with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Happy thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Happy throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Ford because Happy loaded up on that one.
Happy lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ford stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ford wants it to stay on the feet.

Happy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ford's waist but Ford gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Happy off to one side.
