Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erik Friedrichsen (ranked 2513 p4p, 23606 weight class) and Jake Peterson (ranked 306 p4p, 0 weight class). Peterson has chosen Berzerk by Eminem as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Peterson!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Friedrichsen thumps Peterson with a low kick.
Peterson misses with the combination.
Friedrichsen connects with a right hand. Peterson shakes it off.

It looks like Jake Peterson has been cut.
Peterson throws a sloppy head kick
and Friedrichsen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Peterson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Friedrichsen moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Friedrichsen chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Peterson tries to clinch but Friedrichsen is having none of it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Friedrichsen.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Friedrichsen, as that shot connected.
Friedrichsen slips a jab and a cross from Peterson.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Friedrichsen is looking to slow Peterson down with leg kicks.
Peterson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Friedrichsen as he jumps to the side.

Peterson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Friedrichsen was covering up waiting for the punch and Peterson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Friedrichsen has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Peterson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Friedrichsen scoring well with a low kick there.
Peterson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Friedrichsen.

Friedrichsen sends Peterson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Friedrichsen is motioning to the referee to let Peterson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Peterson is rocked!

That has opened up Jake Peterson's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Peterson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Peterson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Friedrichsen digs a good hook to Peterson's body.
Peterson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Friedrichsen is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Peterson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Friedrichsen makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Peterson looks winded!
Peterson throws a combination that misses
and Friedrichsen counters with a big right hand! Oh Peterson is in trouble here! Friedrichsen follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
