The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corona fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Corona drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tonney pulls his leg out and moves away.
Gino Corona seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Corona avoids a punch combination nicely.

Tonney fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Corona looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Tonney cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Corona throws a sloppy head kick and Tonney moves out of range easily.
Tonney throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Corona wants to clinch but Tonney slips to the side

and Tonney counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Tonney.
Corona tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tonney smiles and moves away.

Tonney tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Corona wants to get back to his feet.
Tonney content just to control the position here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well Tonney has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
