PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Righteous Crusader (ranked 5099 p4p, 24623 weight class) and Morrison Dickson (ranked 148 p4p, 212 weight class). Dickson has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crusader scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dickson doesn't seem bothered though.

Crusader lands with an uppercut that bounces Dickson off the ropes and back into range.
Crusader tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dickson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Crusader staggers Dickson with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Dickson looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! Just in time and the ref is going to let the fight continue!

Crusader tries to stall but Dickson uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Crusader 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dickson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Dickson throws out a counter right but Crusader avoids it with no problem.
Crusader has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA Las Vegas in the buildup to the fight.
Crusader wants to clinch up but Dickson keeps it at a distance.
Dickson avoids a punch combination nicely.

Dickson doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Crusader tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Dickson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Dickson sizes up Crusader with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Crusader breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Crusader scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Dickson walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
