Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ameri Can (ranked 1637 p4p, 2768 weight class) and Jack McScramble (ranked 178 p4p, 284 weight class). Can comes to the cage accompanied by For Heavy Metal we will die!. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ameri Can! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack McScramble! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Can slips a jab and a cross from McScramble.
Can appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Can plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! McScramble misses with a takedown attempt - Can sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. McScramble slips under a jab. Can misses with a looping right. McScramble looks to land a combination but Can avoids it well. Can on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. McScramble cracks Can with a right hand to the side of the head. A head kick misses from Can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Can throws a leg kick but McScramble checks it. McScramble rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Can moves out of range and avoids them all easily. McScramble misses with a jab to the body
and Can counters with a stiff right hand. Can throws an ugly left hook that misses
and McScramble counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Can! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McScramble trying to control the action but Can is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. McScramble cracks Can with an elbow. That is naaassty. Can is trying to improve his position. Can wants to get back to his feet. McScramble wants to control but Can is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. McScramble misses with the ground and pound. McScramble is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Can knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Can sneaks back into half guard. McScramble wants to take a breather but Can is having none of it. McScramble prevents Can from standing back up.
McScramble looks to land a strike but Can avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McScramble wants to control from the top but Can keeps moving. Can is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McScramble is controlling him. McScramble with a flurry of punches that miss. Can is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Can throws a body shot but no joy. McScramble chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Can can pounce on him.
Can tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McScramble was well out of range. Poor timing from Can. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McScramble. A looping hook to the body misses from McScramble. Can does a little dance to reset his feet. Ameri Can is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McScramble throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Can was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Can misses with a body kick. Can stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Can just misses with a punch to the body.
Can throws a low kick but it's checked well by McScramble. McScramble throws out a loose jab but Can uses good head movement to avoid it. McScramble fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Can manages to avoid it. McScramble closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Can to the mat! Can manages to get full guard. McScramble preventing the sweep. Can wants to get back to his feet but McScramble is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Can manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McScramble manages to get himself to full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Can passes McScramble's left leg - he's now in half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ameri Can will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. McScramble ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Can moves away. Can thuds his right hand into McScramble's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. McScramble throws out a token jab with nothing on it. McScramble on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Can tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McScramble was well out of range. Poor timing from Can. Can throws a shot to the body.
McScramble moves out of range as Can strikes. Can swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McScramble tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Can counters with a nice leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McScramble takes the fight into the clinch. Can blocks an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. McScramble misses with a punch on the inside.
Can lands with a right to the head. Can wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but McScramble has him pressed against the cage. Can misses with a short punch on the inside. McScramble working some nice short punches in the clinch. McScramble has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. McScramble misses with a hook to the ribs.
McScramble lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Can tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Can lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down McScramble. Can managing to block the knees to the body from McScramble.
Can breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McScramble falls off balance throwing a combination
and Can counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McScramble thinking. McScramble lands the left hand. McScramble uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McScramble shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Can misses with a leg kick and McScramble counters with a shoot takedown. Can fights it but they end up in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Can is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McScramble is controlling him. Can pushes McScramble off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. A thudding body kick lands there by Can!
Can scores with the left hand. McScramble knows he should have avoided that one. McScramble on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. McScramble misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. As McScramble backs away, Can returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. McScramble moves out of range of the strikes. Can misses with the combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McScramble works over Can's head and body with a nice combination. Can looks to score with a jab to the body but McScramble is just out of range. Can ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Can with a jab. Can swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Can throws a looping overhand right but McScramble ducks down to avoid it. McScramble moves out of range of the strikes. Ameri Can is winning the standup battle so far. McScramble misses with a right hand and McScramble takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. McScramble takes a swing at Can's ribcage but misses. McScramble on the wrong end of a nice jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McScramble keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Can throws an overhand right that lands on McScramble's shoulder, as McScramble tries to avoid the shot. McScramble wants to clinch up but Can keeps it at a distance. McScramble closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Can pivots, looking for a leg kick but McScramble is out of range and Can settles back down. McScramble moves out of range of the leg kick from Can. Can throws the left hand but McScramble avoids the punch easily. Can blocks a jab. Can takes one on the button. Can is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. McScramble is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Can is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Can looks for the body kick but McScramble saw that one coming. McScramble fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Can scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Ameri Can dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! Can lands the left hand. Can throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McScramble stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. McScramble closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McScramble lands in his opponent's guard. McScramble has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Can is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McScramble is controlling him. McScramble trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. McScramble loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McScramble landing with the ground and pound. Can looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Can lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. McScramble not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Can looking to sit in guard and control but McScramble gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Can is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McScramble is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Can manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McScramble manages to get himself to full guard.
Can got a little sloppy there for a moment and McScramble has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Can has managed to get both his arms back between McScramble's legs - danger averted. McScramble working a defensive guard but Can manages to pass into side control anyway.
Can in side control, just content to control the action for now. Can working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McScramble tries to buck Can off but Can is having none of it. McScramble is trying to control Can's posture but Can avoids it. Can is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. McScramble is looking to regain half guard here but Can keeps moving and retains side control. Jack McScramble has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ameri Can is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. McScramble gets back to half guard. McScramble works his way to full guard. Good work. Can got a little sloppy there for a moment and McScramble has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Can has managed to get both his arms back between McScramble's legs - danger averted. Can will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Can showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Can has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Can is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McScramble can do to turn this around? Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Can trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ameri Can. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Can, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by majority decision... Ameri Can! Ameri Can decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
