The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards rushes Grimes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Grimes has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Richards after a bit of a struggle.
Grimes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Grimes tries for a takedown but Richards manages to get underhooks.

Richards manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Grimes manages to get himself to full guard.

Richards tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Grimes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Richards is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Richards is looking for a kimura but Grimes is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Richards to get the leverage.
