The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cesar gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Nice takedown defense from Zimmermann. No joy for Cesar on that attempt.
Zimmermann fails with a takedown attempt.
Zimmermann misses with a takedown attempt - Cesar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Cesar has Zimmermann pressed against the cage, preventing Zimmermann from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Julius Cesar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hans Zimmermann.

Zimmermann gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cesar.

Cesar tries to pull guard but Zimmermann holds him up against the cage and eventually Cesar drops back down to his feet.
Zimmermann changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cesar fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Zimmermann throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cesar's waist but Cesar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zimmermann off to one side.
Cesar tries to close the distance and clinch but Zimmermann swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cesar shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zimmermann sprawls well. Zimmermann wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cesar gets slowly back to his feet.

and Zimmermann holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Cesar has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Zimmermann clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Zimmermann really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cesar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Zimmermann rolls, trying to escape but Cesar keeps control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cesar misses with an elbow to the head.

Zimmermann defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cesar pulls Zimmermann in close to prevent any damage.

Zimmermann throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cesar works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Cesar has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Zimmermann doesn't defend quickly enough and Cesar has managed to lock this one up! Can Zimmermann escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Cesar on a fantastic submission victory.
