Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Rusov (ranked 5918 p4p, 4581 weight class) and Jako Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jan Rusov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jako Frost!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rusov misses with a takedown attempt - Frost sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Frost dives in and grabs Rusov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rusov pushes down on Frost's head and hops out.

A frustrated look appears on Rusov's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Frost is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rusov is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rusov has escaped and now he's on top!

That was a close second round but I would say that Jan Rusov will probably get the nod.

Rusov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Frost's waist but Frost gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rusov off to one side.
Jako Frost has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jan Rusov.
Well Rusov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Jan Rusov opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
