Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jussi Roipe (ranked 2843 p4p, 6429 weight class) and Marcel Romanow (ranked 335 p4p, 580 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jussi Roipe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marcel Romanow! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romanow tries to clinch but Roipe is having none of it. Romanow misses with a straight left. Romanow tries to clinch there but Roipe circles away.
Romanow ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Roipe misses with a right hand and Romanow counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Jussi Roipe has been cut. Marcel Romanow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roipe throws a lazy uppercut
and Romanow cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Romanow takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Romanow gets caught flat footed, as Roipe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Romanow lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Romanow is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Roipe is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Roipe has escaped and now he's on top!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Roipe lands a couple of elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Romanow is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Romanow looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Romanow had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Roipe defends it easily. Roipe passes Romanow's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Roipe landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Romanow is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Roipe's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Roipe's back!

Romanow is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Roipe is just riding it out for now. Romanow eventually gives up the hold. Roipe moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Roipe controls Romanow momentarily but Romanow frees himself. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Marcel Romanow will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jussi Roipe's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Romanow tries to close the distance and clinch but Roipe swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Romanow jabs at Roipe's body. Roipe dives in and grabs Romanow's left leg, looking for a takedown. Romanow pushes down on Roipe's head and hops out. Roipe throws a jab when Romanow was well out of range. Roipe drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Romanow is looking to regain half guard here but Roipe keeps moving and retains side control. Roipe is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Romanow manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Roipe seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Jussi Roipe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Romanow has hold of Roipe's hands but Roipe slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Ground and pound from Roipe. Roipe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Romanow with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Romanow felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Roipe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Roipe working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Roipe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Romanow has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Roipe has managed to get both his arms back between Romanow's legs - danger averted. Roipe pushes down on Romanow's leg and manages to get into half guard. Romanow looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Roipe is nestled in close to Romanow, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
