Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Fortuna (ranked 2298 p4p, 5913 weight class) and Jari Laitila (ranked 316 p4p, 613 weight class). Fortuna comes to the cage accompanied by Godfather Theme by Nino Rota. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bruno Fortuna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jari Laitila!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortuna throws an overhand right that lands on Laitila's shoulder, as Laitila tries to avoid the shot.
Laitila tries to counter with a clinch but Fortuna shakes him off and moves away.
Fortuna slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Jari Laitila has been cut.
Fortuna with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Fortuna lands a big head kick that sends Laitila tumbling to the mat! Fortuna takes a step backwards and waves Laitila back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fortuna cracks Laitila with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Laitila looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Fortuna finish him?
Laitila is rocked!
That has opened up Jari Laitila's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Laitila swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Fortuna scores with a counter punch that sends Laitila to the canvas! Fortuna smells blood - he's punishing Laitila with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Laitila has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bruno Fortuna!
After winning the bout, Bruno Fortuna thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
