Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, DeShawn West!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Radoslav Petrov!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov misses with a two punch combination.
West changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Petrov throws a shot from downtown. West moves away and avoids it.
Petrov connects with a single shot there.
West misses with a straight left.
West lands with a hook. Petrov tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Petrov throws out a loose jab but West uses good head movement to avoid it.
West attempts a counter takedown but Petrov avoids it well and moves away.
A jab from Petrov misses.
West drops down looking for a counter takedown but Petrov sprawls and moves away.
Petrov thows a leg kick but West checks it
and West counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A looping hook to the body misses from Petrov. West does a little dance to reset his feet.

West appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

West takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
We've been told by West's head coaches at Mystic Gym of the Outworld that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from West. Petrov does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Petrov counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps West thinking.
West throws a leg kick
and Petrov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Petrov lands a nice shot to the body.
West ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Petrov moves away.
Petrov throws a hook but West blocks it.
West displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Petrov throws out the jab.
West is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Petrov.
Petrov throws a hook to the side of West's head but West sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

West walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Petrov scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Petrov stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from West.
West takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Petrov chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Petrov paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Radoslav Petrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

West steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Petrov.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Petrov fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but West is out of range.
West tries to counter by clinching up but Petrov breaks away and moves out of range.
West is looking to wear down Petrov with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Petrov comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Petrov thows a left - swing and a miss!
A jab from Petrov misses.
West steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Petrov.
Petrov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A punch combination from West misses.
Petrov doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Petrov throws a low kick but West avoids it.
Petrov throws a head kick that misses.
West feints and then cracks Petrov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Petrov down.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Petrov fakes a jab and throws a low kick but West checks it well.
Petrov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Petrov swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Petrov scores with a hook to the body. West takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
West misses with a right hand

and Petrov counters by clinching up.
West tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Petrov's elbow.
Petrov working aggressively here.
Petrov tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
West misses with some punches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Petrov fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
West working some nice short punches in the clinch.
West misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Petrov working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
West doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Petrov swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Petrov blocking some punches.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Radoslav Petrov dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

West defending well as Petrov loads up on a big left hand.
Radoslav Petrov seems to be getting the better of the standup.
West keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
West takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
West lands a nice hook to Petrov's body. Petrov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Petrov just misses with a punch to the body.
West lands a really nice looking cross but Petrov seems unphased.
West connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Petrov is rocked!
West feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Petrov crashing to the mat! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). DeShawn West!
DeShawn West decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
