Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Einar Kyrvänsyylä (ranked 1742 p4p, 1711 weight class) and Eddie McDermott (ranked 228 p4p, 226 weight class). McDermott has chosen I'm Shipping up to Boston as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Einar Kyrvänsyylä!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eddie McDermott!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDermott misses with a body shot.
As McDermott looks to move away, Kyrvänsyylä throws a big counter combo but McDermott just gets out of the way.
Kyrvänsyylä fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McDermott, pushing him back against the cage.
McDermott tries to circle away but Kyrvänsyylä has him pinned against the cage.
Kyrvänsyylä gets through McDermott's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kyrvänsyylä breaks from the clinch.
McDermott throws a good cross that connects.
McDermott misses with a hook.
McDermott rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kyrvänsyylä moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kyrvänsyylä misses with a wild combination.
Kyrvänsyylä pushes McDermott up against the cage in a clinch.
Kyrvänsyylä misses with a shot to the kidneys.
McDermott looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
McDermott has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Kyrvänsyylä's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kyrvänsyylä takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Kyrvänsyylä misses the shot to the body.

Kyrvänsyylä misses with a looping left.
McDermott lands with a hook. Kyrvänsyylä tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
McDermott throws a body shot but no joy.
Kyrvänsyylä appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Kyrvänsyylä throws a hook but McDermott avoids it easily.
Kyrvänsyylä throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kyrvänsyylä avoids a punch combination nicely.
McDermott sizes up Kyrvänsyylä with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
McDermott scores with a nice head shot.
Kyrvänsyylä takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kyrvänsyylä takes one to the side of the head.
Kyrvänsyylä throws a wild hook but McDermott just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Kyrvänsyylä gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - McDermott raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
