Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Texeira (ranked 4879 p4p, 4713 weight class) and Andre Sawyer (ranked 551 p4p, 541 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andre Sawyer!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sawyer tries to close the distance and clinch but Texeira swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Sawyer closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Texeira did well to prevent Sawyer getting side control.

and Sawyer counters with a crisp one two that drops Texeira! Sawyer thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Texeira to his feet! Texeira is in big trouble!

That was a close round but I would say that Alex Texeira will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Texeira pushes Sawyer off looking to stand but Sawyer dives back in and keeps control.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sawyer cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Sawyer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Sawyer is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Texeira to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Texeira shrugs it off.

Sawyer's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Texeira connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sawyer scrambles back to his feet.
