The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rysman tries to clinch but Miranda is having none of it.
Despite the aggression on Miranda's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Rysman closes the distance and clinches.

Miranda wants to clinch up but Rysman keeps it at a distance.

Rysman moves in looking to clinch but Miranda pushes him off.

Rysman lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Micah Rysman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rysman darts in and clinches Miranda up against the cage.

Miranda breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Miranda uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rysman.
Micah Rysman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rysman doesn't manage to clinch there - Miranda circles away.
And Miranda tries to counter it with a takedown but Rysman pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Miranda is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rysman's half guard.

and Miranda counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rysman thinking.
Rysman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Miranda throws a head kick but Rysman moves out of range.

and Miranda moves into the clinch.
Rysman tries for a takedown but Miranda manages to get underhooks.

Miranda has clasped his hands together around Rysman's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Rysman bucks up and tries to throw Miranda off but instead Miranda has got his back!

Rysman is trying to defend against the choke here but Miranda has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Miranda Tightens the hold and Rysman taps out furiously! Miranda displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
