Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Scissors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pollock Johnny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scissors's entrance music is Paper Cut - Linkin Park. A fine choice. Pollock Johnny has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnny fails with an attempt to clinch.
Johnny takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Scissors shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Johnny is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Scissors is aware though and is defending well.

and Scissors counters with a nice double leg into side control. Johnny won't be happy with that.

Scissors has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Johnny!
Johnny sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Scissors is taking a breather. Johnny says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Scissors postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Johnny to stand up.
Johnny tries for a takedown but Scissors circles away easily
and Scissors counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Johnny is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Kyle Scissors has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pollock Johnny.
Scissors explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Johnny is nestled in close to Scissors, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Scissors keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Johnny's head.

Johnny has Scissors pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Johnny pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Scissors tumbling to the mat - Johnny dives into Scissors's guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Scissors cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Scissors is landing with some decent strikes but Johnny is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
