Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shigetoshi Kaga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Lyoja Masiina!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaga looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Masiina drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Kaga is trying to get back to half guard.
Kaga has control of an arm but Masiina manages to advance to Masiina's back!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Masiina's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Masiina doesn't have the hooks in and Kaga manages to turn into his guard.
Kaga is breathing heavily.
Kaga throwing strikes from guard but Masiina blocks nicely.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Masiina connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Masiina shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kaga but Kaga pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Masiina wants to clinch.
Masiina drives through and clinches with Kaga against the cage.
Masiina escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Masiina fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kaga is on top in guard.
Kaga lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Kaga wants to pass the guard but Masiina is keeping the position.
Kaga drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kaga jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kaga lands a nice short elbow.
Kaga looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Masiina looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Kaga puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
