The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aldo closes the distance and clinches up with Roberts, looking for a takedown. Aldo pushes Roberts against the cage but Roberts circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Roberts counters with a shoot takedown. Aldo fights it but they end up in guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Roberts's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Aldo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Roberts gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aldo has momentary wrist control but Roberts slips an elbow through the middle.
Oh Aldo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Roberts loads up on a big left hand. Aldo felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Roberts looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Aldo can't hide his disappointment, as Roberts celebrates the victory.
