The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gump throws an off balance right hand
and Burnett counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Burnett keeps the fight on the outside.
Burnett ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Gump fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gump takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Gump ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Burnett moves away.
Burnett lands with an overhand left.

Gump closes the distance and pushes Burnett back into the cage.
I was talking to Burnett's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Burnett throws a punch but it's blocked by Gump.

Burnett tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gump was well out of range. Poor timing from Burnett.

Burnett bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Gump! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Burnett sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Gump's defenses. It connects perfectly with Gump's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
