Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Cooper (ranked 4959 p4p, 5882 weight class) and Landon Kray (ranked 533 p4p, 573 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Cooper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Landon Kray! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kray rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cooper moves out of range and avoids them all easily. The fighters circling - Kray throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Landon Kray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cooper swings for the body but Kray moves out of range.
Kray takes a swing at Cooper's ribcage but misses. Cooper throws a body punch but Kray moves out of range. Cooper ducks under a wild hook from Kray. Cooper pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kray pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Cooper checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Cooper scores with a slapping inside leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kray looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Kray's corner is telling him to maintain position. Cooper wants to sweep but no luck. Cooper is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kray sitting in guard here, content to control. Kray stopping the sweep attempt from Cooper. Cooper bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kray's guard. Cooper tries to free his leg and advance position but Kray is retaining full guard. Kray escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cooper gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Cooper trying to control the position from guard on top but Kray is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cooper drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kray looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kray looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kray! Kray connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Cooper some visible discomfort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cooper manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Kray is in trouble now - Cooper has advanced to mount! Cooper is looking to work his way around to Kray's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Kray doing his best to control the position. Can he escape? Kray is trying desperately to improve position. Kray sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kray has his hands clasped together around Cooper's back. He's all about the action. Kray slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kray is controlling Cooper's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kray looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Cooper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kray swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cooper stopping the sweep attempt from Kray. Kray is pulling down on Cooper's head. It's preventing any offense from Cooper, at least for the moment. Cooper advances to half guard. Cooper trying to mount his opponent but Kray defends it. Kray is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kray keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Cooper is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Cooper drops back looking for a leg! Kray is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kray manages to kick Cooper off! Cooper jumps back into Kray's guard. Kray pulls Cooper in close to prevent any damage. Kray can't keep his opponent in guard - Cooper advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kray really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cooper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cooper is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kray doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cooper. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cooper is pressing down on Kray's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kray is holding on for now. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jeff Cooper will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The fight stays on the outside here - Kray looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cooper seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Kray fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cooper, pushing him back against the cage. Kray has picked Cooper up - he's going for a ride! Kray dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Kray scoring with strikes to the body and head. Cooper is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kray's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kray's back! Cooper working for a choke but Kray reverses nicely into Cooper 's guard. Kray cracks Cooper with a solid left hand. Kray stopping the sweep attempt from Cooper. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kray is in close to Cooper's body, working some short punches and elbows. Kray preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kray lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Cooper has momentary wrist control but Kray slips an elbow through the middle. Kray working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cooper's head. Kray looking to pass the guard. Kray got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cooper has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kray has managed to get both his arms back between Cooper's legs - danger averted. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kray slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Kray scoring with some ground and pound. Kray looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Kray working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Cooper tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cooper has momentary wrist control but Kray slips an elbow through the middle.
Cooper is rocked! Kray working some strikes from top position. Oh Cooper is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Landon Kray has got the better of the ground game so far. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kray's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Kray postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Cooper covers up, he's hurt! Kray keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Kray and the ref steps in to end the fight! Kray can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Landon Kray! After winning the bout, Landon Kray thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
