Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Horton McKenzie (ranked 1928 p4p, 2459 weight class) and Damian Wayne (ranked 248 p4p, 306 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Horton McKenzie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Damian Wayne!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wayne walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Wayne's coach down at ALPHA Performance Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Wayne's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Horton McKenzie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McKenzie closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
McKenzie misses with the head strike.
McKenzie blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Wayne lands with a short shot to the head.
Wayne tried to land a shot to the body but connects with McKenzie's elbow.
Wayne throws a punch but it's blocked by McKenzie.
McKenzie tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
McKenzie tries a body shot but Wayne blocks it.
Wayne misses with a body punch.
A short uppercut from McKenzie.
McKenzie lands with a right to the head.
Wayne gets through McKenzie's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Wayne throws a head punch that misses.
Wayne's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McKenzie closes the distance but Wayne moves to the side
and Wayne counters with a nice kick to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wayne moves out of range of the strikes.
Wayne tries a quick counter leg kick but McKenzie is wise to it.
McKenzie works Wayne's body with a nice hook.

McKenzie paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Good exchange - McKenzie coming out on top.
McKenzie bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Wayne's head backwards.
Wayne walks into a left hand.
McKenzie connects with a crisp jab.
Wayne cracks McKenzie with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! McKenzie looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Wayne finish him?
McKenzie is rocked!
McKenzie definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McKenzie misses with a hook.
Wayne tries a quick counter leg kick but McKenzie is wise to it.
Oh McKenzie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McKenzie swings widly with a right hand
and Wayne counters with a nice leg kick.
McKenzie pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
McKenzie backing away here, and Wayne unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
McKenzie throws a right and a left that both miss.
A telegraphed right hand from Wayne misses the target.
McKenzie fails in his attempt to clinch.
It seemed like Wayne was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Wayne takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Wayne. McKenzie does a little dance to reset his feet.
Wayne scores with a shot to the body.
McKenzie is breathing heavily.
Wayne circles away from the clinch attempt
and Wayne counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
McKenzie seems to have got his legs back now.
Wayne lands a nice shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
McKenzie chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Wayne can pounce on him.
Wayne slips a straight right by McKenzie.
It seemed like Wayne was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Wayne tries to keep at a distance but McKenzie has taken the fight into the clinch.
Wayne lands with a short head shot on the inside.
McKenzie throws a head punch that misses.
McKenzie wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
McKenzie swings wildly with an uppercut but Wayne uses good head movement to avoid it.
McKenzie tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
A short right from Wayne on the inside.
A nice left hand lands by Wayne.
Wayne creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends McKenzie's eyes rolling into the back of his head! McKenzie drops to his knees and Wayne pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Damian Wayne!
