Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Declan Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Thiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thiago has chosen tubthumping by chumbawamba as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Paul Thiago is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Declan Walker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Thiago! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A right-left combo lands from Walker.
It looks like Paul Thiago has been cut. Walker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Thiago has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Walker is working away from the top position though. Walker is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Thiago! Thiago looks gassed! Walker takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Walker in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Walker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Thiago avoids the head kick by Walker.
Walker stalks Thiago and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Thiago's face. Thiago staggers backwards, shaken. Walker closes the distance and pushes Thiago back into the cage. Walker lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Thiago backwards. Walker lands a damaging elbow.
That has opened up Paul Thiago's cut even more. Walker lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Walker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Walker cracks Thiago with a good jab. Walker fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Thiago, pushing him back against the cage. Walker lands a left hand.
Thiago wants a takedown but no success here.
Walker pulls guard effortlessly. Walker pushes Thiago off and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Walker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Walker tightens his grip and picks Thiago up, before dumping him to the ground. Thiago manages to land in guard. Walker pushes down on Thiago's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walker lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Thiago on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Walker blocks the strikes from Thiago.
Walker is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Thiago! Walker wants to control the pace but Thiago is squirming around nicely. Walker with good strikes from the mount here! Walker scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Declan Walker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Thiago takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Walker clinches. Walker gets a trip takedown into half guard. Walker decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Walker closes the distance and clinches. Walker lands a right hand that snaps the head of Thiago backwards. Walker pushes Thiago back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Walker working Thiago over with knees to the body. Walker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Thiago can do to turn this around? A body shot lands from Walker.
Thiago takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Thiago tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Walker smiles and moves away.
Walker scores with a one two! Thiago had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Walker throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Thiago's head. Walker cracks Thiago with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Walker lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Thiago backs up against the cage.
Walker scores with a one two! Thiago had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Walker gets a clinch. Walker lands a damaging elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walker presses Thiago against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Walker pulls guard effortlessly. Walker working a defensive guard here.

Thiago is squirming around, avoiding Walker's attempts to control the action. Walker controlling from the full mount. Walker working for a guillotine from mount but Thiago is in no mood to give up. Declan Walker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Walker looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
