Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Frood (ranked 4759 p4p, 4365 weight class) and Gord Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan throws a body punch but Frood moves out of range.
Gord Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Frood takes the fight into the clinch.
Frood keeps control of Ryan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Ryan misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Frood.
Frood fails to pull guard.
Ryan lands a left hand that snaps the head of Frood backwards.
Frood tries to pull guard but Ryan forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Frood's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Ryan lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Frood wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyrone Frood. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ryan tries to throw a body punch but Frood avoids it by throwing Ryan back against the cage.
Ryan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Frood's efforts to push away.
Ryan misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Frood gets control of Ryan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Frood will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Frood bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ryan's guard.

Frood tries to free his leg and advance position but Ryan is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Frood drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Frood jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ryan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Frood. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Frood decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
A slow jab from Ryan misses its intended target.

Frood manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ryan on his heels. He'll look to pass Ryan's guard now, I'm sure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Frood postures up in Ryan's guard and throws a big left but Ryan blocks it.
Frood's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Frood tries to clinch up but Ryan circles away and keeps his distance.

Frood closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ryan's guard.

Frood stands and steps away. Ryan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Nice uppercut lands for Ryan. That snapped Frood's head back.

Frood takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Frood tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ryan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Frood walks into a straight right hand from Ryan.
Ryan lands with a shot to the body.
Frood is breathing heavily.
Ryan throws a right and a left that both miss.
Frood takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ryan works Frood's body with a nice hook.
Ryan lands a slapping body shot.
Frood tries to move into range but Ryan moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A jab from Ryan does it's job there.

It looks like Tyrone Frood has been cut.

Ryan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Frood sprawling to the canvas! Frood rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Ryan finish him?!

Frood is rocked!

Ryan sends Frood crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Ryan is motioning to the referee to let Frood up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Oh Frood is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ryan cracks Frood with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
