The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Brien will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Davies fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
O Brien fails with the takedown.
Davies lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but O Brien circles away quickly and effectively.
O Brien shoots in for a takedown but Davies shows good takedown defense.
John Davies has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pat O Brien.
O Brien closes this distance looking for a takedown but Davies circles away.
O Brien shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Davies pinned against the cage. Davies gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
O Brien changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Davies tries to avoid it but O Brien manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Davies to the ground. Davies escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
O Brien shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Davies as he jumps to the side.
O Brien looks gassed!
O Brien closes this distance looking for a takedown but Davies circles away.
O Brien throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Davies's waist but Davies gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing O Brien off to one side.
Davies throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Davies throws a right and a left that O Brien avoids nicely.
John Davies seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davies steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! O Brien is out on his feet! Davies sets himself and nearly takes O Brien's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
