Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ben Lyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyle moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

and Diaz counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Lyle!

Diaz stands up and beckons Lyle to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Diaz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lyle tries to avoid it but Diaz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lyle to the ground. Lyle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Diaz takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Diaz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lyle avoids it really well and circles away.

and Diaz counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lyle's knee momentarily.

Lyle lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lyle.
Lyle throws a right hand that Diaz ducks under and follows up with a left that Diaz also avoids with ease.
Diaz has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Lyle bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Diaz tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lyle defends well and Diaz ends up having to push Lyle into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Lyle lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Lyle lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lyle swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lyle throws a big counter combination but Diaz scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The crowd cheers as Lyle lands an impressive looking overhand right. Diaz doesn't seem phased though.
