The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sapo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Steel's head.

It looks like Daniel Steel has been cut.
Sapo fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Sapo shoots for a takedown but Steel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sapo is defended easily by Steel.
Steel has been working on his boxing with his coaches at CHECMATE PRIME MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Sapo rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Steel counters with a nice uppercut.
Steel throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sapo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sapo fails to land with a series of punches.

Sapo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sapo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sapo cracks Steel with a big elbow.
Sapo works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Steel is rocked!
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Sapo working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Sapo in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Steel looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Sapo turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
