Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Clem Davy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Night Zono!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davy tries to close the distance and clinch but Zono swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Zono is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Night Zono seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zono looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Davy throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Zono walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Davy wants to clinch.
Zono on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Davy. Davy obviously looking to wear him down.
Zono walks forward, straight into a front kick from Davy.
The fight stays on the outside here - Davy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Davy feints and as Zono raises his hands in defense, Davy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Davy scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Davy is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Davy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Davy decides to stand and escape the position.
Davy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Zono avoids it really well and circles away.
Davy dives in and grabs Zono's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zono pushes down on Davy's head and hops out.
Davy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clem Davy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zono defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Davy.
Davy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Davy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Zono sprawls well initially but Davy persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Zono looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Zono looks like he's trying to stand up.
Davy drops an elbow to the side of Zono's head.

Davy cracks Zono with a big elbow.
Zono really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Davy stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Davy misses with a takedown attempt - Zono sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Davy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zono sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Davy somewhat.

Davy shoots for a takedown but Zono saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Zono looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Davy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zono.
Davy swats away the attempt to clinch by Zono.
Davy lands a head kick. Zono smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Davy.
Davy throws a body punch but Zono moves out of range.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Davy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Davy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Zono knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Zono throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Davy scoring well with a low kick there.
Davy lands with a kick to the temple. Zono shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Davy darts in and clinches Zono up against the cage.
Davy misses with the head strike.
Davy stops a takedown attempt from Zono.
Davy drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Davy is looking to break free of the clinch but Zono has double underhooks.
Zono is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Davy has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Zono uses from the top position.
Davy throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Davy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Zono manages to get himself to full guard.

Davy has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Davy wants to control the pace but Zono is squirming around nicely.

Davy closes the distance and clinches.
Davy goes for a takedown attempt but Zono pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Davy shoots in and bounces Zono off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davy passes into half guard.

Davy is trying to work for a kimura but Zono is defending well.

Zono is looking to get back to is feet but Davy passes into side control.
Davy wants to control but Zono is keeping him busy.
Davy works to advance to full mount. Zono defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Davy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Zono can do to turn this around?
