Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Necmettin Hoca (ranked 697 p4p, 724 weight class) and Richard Ramirez (ranked 96 p4p, 101 weight class). Ramirez is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Get Lucky. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Necmettin Hoca! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Ramirez! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoca throws out a loose jab but Ramirez uses good head movement to avoid it. A cross from Hoca lands. Hoca dips down and scores with a jab to the body. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ramirez has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Ramirez shoots in for a takedown but Hoca shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ramirez misses with a shot to the body and Hoca connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hoca looks to throw the jab but Ramirez is out of range. Ramirez changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Hoca bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Ramirez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Ramirez defending well as Hoca loads up on a big left hand. Ramirez misses with a shot to the body and Hoca counters with a nice uppercut. Ramirez throws out a loose jab but Hoca uses good head movement to avoid it. Hoca throws the left hand but Ramirez avoids the punch easily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ramirez gets a takedown into half guard. Hoca is staying active underneath Ramirez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramirez has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Hoca defend it? Ramirez steps over the head and cranks it - Hoca is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ramirez!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Richard Ramirez! In his post fight interview, Richard Ramirez started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
