Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Dennis Fischer (ranked 4032 p4p, 5128 weight class) and John Bennett (ranked 504 p4p, 579 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Bennett!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bennett scores with a nice head shot.
A slapping leg kick lands for Fischer.
That kick from Fischer tenderised Bennett's leg. Bennett is trying to keep his angry face on.
Bennett throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bennett connects with a body shot.
Bennett swings for the body but Fischer moves out of range.
Fischer throws a half hearted mid kick.

enabling Fischer to counter with a crisp jab.
Bennett lands with a nice body punch.
Bennett throws a hook but Fischer avoids it easily.
Fischer throws an overhand right that lands on Bennett's shoulder, as Bennett tries to avoid the shot.
Bennett throws a shot from downtown. Fischer moves away and avoids it.
Fischer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Fischer fires out a quick counter leg kick but Bennett just manages to avoid it.

Bennett is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fischer.
Bennett lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Fischer looks to land a combination but Bennett avoids it well.
Fischer tries to bum rush Bennett with a series of wild strikes but Bennett uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bennett cracks Fischer with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.

Fischer closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Bennett crashing to the mat! Bennett uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!
It looks like John Bennett has been cut.
Bennett checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Fischer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bennett moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bennett throws a looping overhand right but Fischer ducks down to avoid it.
Fischer staggers Bennett with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Bennett looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! Just in time and the ref is going to let the fight continue!
Bennett is rocked!
BAM! Fischer delivers a spinning backfist that drops Bennett like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Spinning Backfist). Dennis Fischer!
After winning the bout, Dennis Fischer thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
