Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ferreira Santos (ranked 4796 p4p, 4944 weight class) and Dan Steely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ferreira Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dan Steely! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Santos clinches up with Steely and pushes him back against the cage. Steely swings wildly with an uppercut but Santos uses good head movement to avoid it. Steely is trying to pull guard but Santos turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Santos pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Santos has Steely up against the cage in a clinch.
Santos has Steely pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Steely manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Santos blocks an elbow strike from Steely.
Steely jumps guard but Santos turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Santos tries to pull guard but Steely won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos tries to score a body lock takedown but Steely shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ferreira Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steely is trying to push Santos away but Santos has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Santos drops down looking for an ankle pick but Steely pulls his leg out and moves away.
Santos slips a jab from Steely. Steely stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Steely wants it to stay on the feet. No luck for Santos with that takedown attempt. Santos shoots in for a takedown but Steely shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Santos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Steely's waist but Steely gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Santos off to one side. Santos slips under a jab. Santos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Steely throws a lazy right hand but Santos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Steely steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Santos. That one must have hurt. A low kick from Steely is predictable there and Santos holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Steely. Santos breaks from the clinch.
Santos shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Steely defends it nicely. Santos is breathing heavily. Steely closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Santos did well to prevent Steely getting side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Steely working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Steely is looking to take a break and control but Santos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Steely lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steely wants to take a breather but Santos is having none of it. Steely landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Steely wants to pass to mount but Santos is defending the position. Santos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Steely on the ground. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Steely working over Santos with some ground and pound. Santos looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Steely winds up and cracks Santos with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Steely working the head and body with strikes. Santos is not content to let Steely control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos has hold of Steely's hands but Steely slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Steely frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Steely scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Santos?

Santos is rocked! Steely lands a big elbow - Santos is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Santos is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Dan Steely! After winning the bout, Dan Steely thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
