The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalinowski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Blahs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kalinowski is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Blahs knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Blahs is looking to regain half guard here but Kalinowski keeps moving and retains side control.
Kalinowski thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Kalinowski tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Blahs misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Blahs is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blahs is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kalinowski's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Kalinowski is working for a kimura but Blahs is defending it quite comfortably.
Blahs wants to improve his position but Kalinowski is controlling well.

Blahs looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Blahs thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Blahs trying to pass the guard but Kalinowski defending well.
Blahs winds up and cracks Kalinowski with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
It looks like Brad Kalinowski has been cut.
Blahs passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kalinowski!
Kalinowski defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Blahs.

Blahs cracks Kalinowski with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Oh Kalinowski is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Blahs is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kalinowski is surviving well by controlling Blahs's body position as best he can.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
