Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Terence Erenberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jonathan Couturier!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Damien Edna and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couturier throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Erenberg circles away from the clinch attempt.
Couturier cracks Erenberg with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Couturier swinging wildly here.
Erenberg changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Erenberg lands a nice hook to Couturier's body. Couturier takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Erenberg shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Erenberg was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Couturier takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Erenberg is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Couturier is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

We've been hearing good reports from Erenberg's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Erenberg wants to lay and pray for a moment but Couturier keeps working.

Couturier is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Erenberg asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The strikes coming from Erenberg are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Couturier is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Erenberg is chipping away with strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Erenberg lands a nice forearm strike.

Erenberg cracks Couturier with a big elbow.
Couturier really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Erenberg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Couturier throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Erenberg sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Couturier has given up his back here. Will Erenberg look for the submission or keep pounding away?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Erenberg has his arm under Couturier's chin here. Game over son! Erenberg squeezes tightly and Couturier is forced to tap out!
