Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Jackson (ranked 4412 p4p, 2941 weight class) and Chris Hooper (ranked 0 p4p, 353 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Hooper!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hooper stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hooper wants it to stay on the feet.

Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown but Hooper manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jackson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hooper displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jackson.

Jackson pushes Hooper up against the cage in a clinch.

Jackson gets control of Hooper's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jackson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Jackson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Hooper is looking to break free of the clinch but Jackson has double underhooks.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Hooper must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jackson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Jackson avoids the head kick by Hooper.
Jackson tries to counter by clinching up but Hooper breaks away and moves out of range.
Jackson shoots in but no luck this time.

Hooper wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance.
Hooper throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jackson's head.

Jackson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hooper, pushing him back against the cage.

Jackson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hooper throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jackson.

Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Hooper tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hooper manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hooper scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Hooper pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jackson back to the cage. Hooper follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Jackson walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hooper.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jackson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hooper - the referee stops the clock and Jackson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hooper. Jackson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Hooper lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hooper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jackson is trying to drag Hooper to the mat but Hooper just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Hooper moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Jackson fails to land the takedown.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hooper misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jackson tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Hooper manages to circle out of the way.
Jackson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hooper pinned against the cage. Hooper gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Anthony Jackson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Chris Hooper is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
