Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kai Rossiter (ranked 1596 p4p, 2299 weight class) and Bea Mason (ranked 217 p4p, 296 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Kai Rossiter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bea Mason! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rossiter throws a lazy right hand but Mason sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Mason has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Mason tries to clinch but Rossiter moves away and Rossiter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rossiter misses with a hook. Mason ducked under it nicely. Mason shoots in looking for a takedown. Rossiter tries to sprawl out of it but Mason keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rossiter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Horrible takedown attempt by Mason or perhaps it was just good defense by Rossiter, which made it look bad. Mason shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rossiter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kai Rossiter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bea Mason. Mason dives in and grabs Rossiter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rossiter pushes down on Mason's head and hops out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mason shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rossiter as he avoids it easily. Mason tries to close the distance and clinch but Rossiter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rossiter swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Rossiter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rossiter buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rossiter misses with a hook. Mason steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Rossiter throws a combination. Mason tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Mason looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Mason pushes Rossiter up against the cage in a clinch. Rossiter pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Mason has Rossiter pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rossiter manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Rossiter has a couple of punches blocked by Mason.
Mason has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Rossiter after a bit of a struggle. Rossiter tries to work over Mason's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Rossiter tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Mason is stalling here.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Rossiter.
It looks like Bea Mason has been cut. Mason blocks a body shot from Rossiter. Rossiter lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Our sources have told us that Rossiter has been working on his elbows in the gym. Rossiter lands a nice shot to the body. Rossiter lands an uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rossiter lands with a short shot to the head. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Rossiter just misses with a elbow thrown towards Mason's brow. Mason is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rossiter gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Rossiter presses Mason against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Mason tries to pull guard but Rossiter won't allow it.
Rossiter lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Mason backwards. Mason is working for takedown but Rossiter is calmly controlling the position for now. Rossiter struggles to land a body shot inside as Mason controls his hands.
Mason looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Mason tries for a takedown but Rossiter manages to get underhooks.
Rossiter misses with a hook to the ribs.
Rossiter has a couple of punches blocked by Mason.
Rossiter looking to throw knees to the head but Mason is blocking nicely.
A short left from Rossiter. Rossiter tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Mason breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mason closes the distance and clinches up with Rossiter, looking for a takedown. Mason pushes Rossiter against the cage but Rossiter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mason fails with the takedown and Rossiter counters with a nice uppercut. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mason is defended easily by Rossiter. Mason changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rossiter tries to avoid it but Mason manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rossiter to the ground. Rossiter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Mason doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mason takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Rossiter leaves Mason with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Nice uppercut lands for Rossiter. That snapped Mason's head back.
Mason throws an ugly left hook that misses

Mason is rocked! Rossiter connects with a superb combination that knocks Mason out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Rossiter before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Mason!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kai Rossiter! A very excited looking Kai Rossiter made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
