PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jyrki Sukulaku (ranked 511 p4p, 275 weight class) and Red Crow (ranked 71 p4p, 34 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jyrki Sukulaku has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jyrki Sukulaku seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jyrki Sukulaku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Red Crow!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Sukulaku misses.
Crow closes the distance and clinches up with Sukulaku, looking for a takedown. Crow pushes Sukulaku against the cage but Sukulaku circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
It looked like Sukulaku wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Sukulaku loads up on a big right hand but Crow slips the punch.
Crow walks into a jab.
Crow moves out of range as Sukulaku strikes.
Sukulaku definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Jyrki Sukulaku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sukulaku throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Crow sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Crow throws a big counter head kick but Sukulaku avoids it with no problem.
Crow attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
It looked like Sukulaku wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Crow cracks Sukulaku with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Crow scoring well with a low kick there.
Crow scores with a leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sukulaku keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sukulaku, as that shot connected.
Sukulaku throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
An inside leg kick lands from Crow.
Sukulaku lunges at Crow with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Crow's hand.
Crow wants to stay close but Sukulaku steps back to make room for something. Crow seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Sukulaku and Crow drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jyrki Sukulaku!
A relieved looking Jyrki Sukulaku thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
