Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Terrance Harris (ranked 3706 p4p, 4066 weight class) and Arseth Oysten (ranked 438 p4p, 483 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Oysten's choice of entrance music: FREEZING MOON. Terrance Harris has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Terrance Harris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Arseth Oysten! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oysten misses with a takedown attempt and Harris counters with a lovely shot to the body. Oysten shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Harris counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jab from Harris. Oysten with a poor takedown and Harris counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Terrance Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arseth Oysten. Oysten fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Oysten shoots and misses and Harris counters with a straight right hand. Oysten changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Harris tries to avoid it but Oysten manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Harris to the ground. Harris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Harris appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Harris scores with a body shot.

Harris with a nice cross. This has been an exciting period of action! Oysten walks into a straight right hand from Harris. Harris fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Oysten shoots and misses and Harris counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Harris lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Oysten doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Harris counter with a right hand. Oysten gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Harris counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Oysten has time to react. Harris connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Oysten momentarily.
Oysten shoots and misses and Harris counters with a nice uppercut. Harris scores with a jab. Oysten acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Harris lands with a straight right. Oysten didn't see that one coming. Harris stalks Oysten and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Oysten's face. Oysten staggers backwards, shaken. Oysten with a lazy takedown attempt and Harris counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Oysten thinking. Oysten has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Oysten takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. This has been an exciting period of action! Oysten gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Harris is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Harris works Oysten's body with a nice hook. Oysten throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Harris's waist but Harris gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Oysten off to one side. Oysten with a lazy takedown attempt and Harris cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Arseth Oysten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Oysten looks winded! Harris dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Oysten. That did some damage! Horrible takedown attempt by Oysten or perhaps it was just good defense by Harris, which made it look bad.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harris bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Oysten's head backwards. Harris stuffs the takedown. Harris swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Oysten misses with a takedown attempt and Harris counters by clinching up. Harris avoiding damage.

Harris gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Oysten to score an easy takedown into full guard. Oysten slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Harris is looking for a sweep. Oysten tries to advance to mount but Harris denies him. Harris is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Harris has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harris stops Oysten from passing to mount. Harris struggling a bit here. Harris is not content to let Oysten control the position. Oysten tries for a kimura but Harris is defending well. Harris wants to control but Oysten postures up. Oysten looking to control but instead Harris has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Oysten passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Harris! The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Harris tries to hold on but Oysten pushes him away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Harris is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Oysten with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
