These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maui pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Carosella throws a body shot but no joy.
Carosella throws a big shot that misses.
Sloppy strikes from Carosella. Those never looked like landing.
Carosella scores with a sloppy right hand. Maui should have avoided that one.

It looks like Raykuza Maui has been cut.
Maui's jab looks to have found its range, popping Carosella under the eye.

Carosella misses with a lunging right hand
and Carosella takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Maui throws a shot from downtown. Carosella moves away and avoids it.
Carosella throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Maui counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Carosella throws out a loose jab but Maui uses good head movement to avoid it.
Maui swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Carosella misses with a looping left.
Carosella throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Maui sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Carosella fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Maui counters with a nice right hand that sends Carosella toppling to the canvas! Carosella scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Maui finish him?!
Carosella looks to land a combination but Maui avoids it well.
Maui has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Carosella finds it's way round the side to connect with Maui's head.

and Maui counters with a nice right hand that sends Carosella toppling to the canvas! Carosella scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Maui finish him?!

That has opened up Guido Carosella's cut even more.

and Maui counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Carosella out cold! What a finish! Maui is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
