Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Kurschmann (ranked 1934 p4p, 2593 weight class) and Malinekanova Batirovenkekikala (ranked 253 p4p, 324 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurschmann lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Batirovenkekikala at a distance.
Batirovenkekikala has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Batirovenkekikala misses the body punch
and Kurschmann makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Kurschmann counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Malinekanova Batirovenkekikala has been cut.
Kurschmann fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Kurschmann sizes up Batirovenkekikala with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Batirovenkekikala ducks under a wild hook from Kurschmann.
Batirovenkekikala steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kurschmann.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kurschmann looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
It looks like Frank Kurschmann has been cut.
Batirovenkekikala lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kurschmann circles away quickly and effectively.
Kurschmann is looking to counter punch.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kurschmann, as that shot connected.
Kurschmann has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Alfred Top Team in the buildup to the fight.
Batirovenkekikala throws a looping overhand right but Kurschmann ducks down to avoid it.
It looked like Kurschmann was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Batirovenkekikala.
Kurschmann misses the shot to the body.
Batirovenkekikala misses with an uppercut
and Kurschmann counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kurschmann looks to land a left hand but Batirovenkekikala moved out of range nicely.
Kurschmann tries to move into range but Batirovenkekikala moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kurschmann. Batirovenkekikala does a little dance to reset his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Kurschmann connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kurschmann sends Batirovenkekikala crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Kurschmann is motioning to the referee to let Batirovenkekikala up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Batirovenkekikala buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kurschmann feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Batirovenkekikala sprawling to the canvas! Batirovenkekikala rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kurschmann finish him?!
Kurschmann swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Batirovenkekikala now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Kurschmann lands a brutal uppercut that launches Batirovenkekikala off his feet! Batirovenkekikala tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
