Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Gage (ranked 1398 p4p, 2789 weight class) and Nedser Kiely (ranked 180 p4p, 345 weight class). Kiely has chosen Walk - Pantera as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Oscar Gage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nedser Kiely!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiely throws out a loose jab but Gage uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gage seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Gage has Kiely up against the cage in a clinch.
Gage pressing his opponent against the cage.
Gage has Kiely pressed against the cage, preventing Kiely from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Gage keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kiely's efforts to push away.

Gage manages to break the clinch.

Gage drives through with a takedown into Kiely's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Kiely is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kiely is looking to stand up but Gage isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kiely trying to control the position.
Kiely told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Kiely keeping moving, preventing Gage from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gage forces his way into half guard.
Gage stalling.

Gage is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Gage performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Kiely wants to get back to his feet.
Gage working over Kiely with some ground and pound. Kiely looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Kiely makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kiely.
Kiely wants to control but Gage passes easily into half guard.
Gage looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Gage is thwarting Kiely's attempts to control the position.

Kiely moves into full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kiely can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gage pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kiely is keeping the position for now.
Gage trying to control the position from guard on top but Kiely is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kiely looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Gage puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Kiely wants to improve his position but Gage is controlling well.
Gage frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Gage prevents Kiely from getting the reversal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gage fails to advance to Kiely's back.
Gage tries to control but Kiely wriggling away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Gage is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kiely can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Gage fails to move to back control.
Kiely tries to hold on but Gage pushes him away.
Kiely really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Kiely is trying to reverse the position but instead Gage has taken his back - oops!
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Kiely is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Gage off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Kiely is trying to defend against the choke here but Gage has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Gage Tightens the hold and Kiely taps out furiously! Gage displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Oscar Gage!
Oscar Gage decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
Nedser Kiely was interviewed post fight and said 'I only fight for money, I dont care'.
