Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marek Cervenka (ranked 2103 p4p, 1992 weight class) and Jamal Hudak (ranked 222 p4p, 211 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marek Cervenka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamal Hudak! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hudak shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hudak lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hudak working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Hudak wants to pass to mount but Cervenka is defending the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hudak throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hudak trying to pass the guard but Cervenka defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hudak keeps trying to improve his position. Cervenka is looking to escape. Hudak moves nicely into side control. Sloppy strikes there by Hudak. Hudak has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hudak tries to score with some ground and pound. Cervenka controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Hudak tries to advance to mount but Cervenka denies him. Hudak laying and praying for a moment but Cervenka takes advantage and regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hudak throwing shots but Cervenka is blocking nicely. Hudak is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hudak is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cervenka defends it well. Hudak tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cervenka knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Hudak passes to side control. Hudak moves into full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hudak with good strikes from the mount here! Hudak working Cervenka over with strikes here. Hudak trying to control but he's not successful this time. Hudak with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cervenka has left one of his arms exposed and Hudak doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Cervenka screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
