Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jan Sokol (ranked 3943 p4p, 3633 weight class) and Raheem Jarrett (ranked 258 p4p, 240 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jan Sokol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Raheem Jarrett!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jarrett closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sokol's guard.
Sokol looking for a sweep. Not yet Sokol, not yet.
Sokol is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Sokol is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jarrett is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Sokol escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jarrett gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

You can see the frustration on Jarrett's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Sokol really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sokol ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jarrett moves away.
Jarrett displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sokol.
Sokol changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jarrett tries to avoid it but Sokol manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jarrett to the ground. Jarrett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jarrett has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Sokol will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Sokol throws a hook to the side of Jarrett's head but Jarrett sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
And Jarrett tries to counter it with a takedown but Sokol pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Sokol tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jarrett defends well and Sokol ends up having to push Jarrett into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
