Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shinei Nouzen (ranked 4268 p4p, 4576 weight class) and Eddie Peak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Shinei Nouzen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eddie Peak!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peak closes the distance and pushes Nouzen back into the cage.
Peak decides to pull guard.
Peak looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Peak is on top in guard.
Peak loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Nouzen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Peak on the ground.

Peak has hold of Nouzen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Nouzen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Peak takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Peak takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Nouzen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Peak. That did some damage!
Nouzen throws a front kick that sends Peak stumbling back into the cage.
Nouzen tries to keep at a distance but Peak has taken the fight into the clinch.
Peak tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Nouzen smiles and moves away.

and Nouzen makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Peak really felt that one!

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Peak.
Peak breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nouzen throws the kick towards the body but Peak avoids it.
Peak tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nouzen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Peak shoots in but no luck this time.

And Nouzen counters with a quick kick to the body but Peak blocks it.

Peak jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nouzen walks away with a smile on his face. Peak gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Shinei Nouzen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddie Peak.
Nouzen throws a sloppy head kick and Peak moves out of range easily.

Peak blocks a low kick nicely.
Nouzen tries to land a body kick
and Peak counters with a shoot takedown. Nouzen fights it but they end up in guard.

Peak drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Peak jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Peak throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nouzen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Nouzen can't keep his opponent in guard - Peak advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Peak tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Nouzen counters with an outside leg kick.
Peak misses with a takedown attempt
and Nouzen counters with a leg kick.
Peak has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Peak feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Nouzen wants to stand up but Peak is controlling him.

Nouzen is looking to stand up but Peak isn't so interested in that idea.
Peak slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Nouzen pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Peak wants to clinch up but Nouzen keeps it at a distance.
Peak tries for a takedown but Nouzen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Nouzen lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Peak throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nouzen looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Horrible takedown attempt by Peak or perhaps it was just good defense by Nouzen, which made it look bad.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Peak.
Shinei Nouzen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Peak takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Peak walks forward, straight into a front kick from Nouzen.
Nouzen lets loose with a powerful body kick. Peak will feel that in the morning.
A lazy body kick from Nouzen
and Peak counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Nouzen is working an open guard so Peak takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Nouzen throws the kick towards the body but Peak avoids it.
Nouzen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Peak not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Peak is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Shinei Nouzen.
I think Peak has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
