The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas throws a right hand that misses
enabling Chaelsson to counter with a crisp jab.
Jax Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thomas connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Thomas throws a poor cross that misses
letting Chaelsson counter with a right hand.
Chaelsson dodges the punch combination from Thomas.
Thomas scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Chaelsson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Patrick Chaelsson has been cut.
Thomas looks to land a left hand but Chaelsson moved out of range nicely.
Chaelsson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Thomas throws a right hand that misses
and Chaelsson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Thomas scores with a big combo that sends Chaelsson crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but the referee has seen enough as Chaelsson flops around uncontrollably and he's called an end to the fight! Thomas jumps onto the ropes and throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Gross.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jax Thomas!
