Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Hiller (ranked 2860 p4p, 24346 weight class) and Matt Jackson (ranked 358 p4p, 664 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Matt Jackson !
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson feints and then cracks Hiller's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hiller down.
Jackson throws the left hand but Hiller avoids the punch easily.
Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hiller.

Jackson throws out a loose jab but Hiller uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jackson throws a leg kick which misses Hiller's front leg but catches the back leg as Hiller tries to avoid it.

Hiller closes the distance and clinches.
Hiller is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jackson is defending well.

We've been informed that Jackson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hiller shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jackson eats them both and turns towards Hiller to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hiller creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jeremy Hiller will probably get the nod.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
BOOM! Jackson lands a beautiful left hook that drops Hiller. Hiller tries to recover but Jackson is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Hiller lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
