PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenneth Hell (ranked 25233 p4p, 2933 weight class) and Eusebio Mamani (ranked 654 p4p, 370 weight class). Mamani has chosen Soy Caporal as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenneth Hell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eusebio Mamani!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Mamani breaks from the clinch.
Hell bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hell darts in looking for a takedown but Mamani gets double underhooks and turns Hell into the cage.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mamani! But no joy.
Hell just leaning against Mamani, taking a breather.
Mamani tries to pull guard but Hell won't allow it.

Hell breaks from the clinch.
A punch combination from Mamani misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hell moves away from the strike by Mamani.
Mamani lands with a hook. Hell tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Mamani clobbers Hell with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hell slips under a jab.
Mamani tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hell was well out of range. Poor timing from Mamani.

Mamani scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Mamani looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hell uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mamani.

Hell looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Hell throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mamani.

Hell fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mamani avoids it really well and circles away.

Mamani lands with a straight right. Hell didn't see that one coming.
Mamani connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Hell throws a leg kick that misses.

and Mamani counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Hell darts in and clinches Mamani up against the cage.
Hell fails to pull guard.
Hell tries to pull guard but Mamani forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Mamani stops a takedown attempt from Hell.

Mamani manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Mamani is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mamani wants to get back to his feet but Hell passes into half guard.
Hell stops Mamani from getting back to his feet.

Hell decides to return to a standing position.
Mamani missing with a left hand there. Hell was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Mamani is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hell had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
A left lands for Mamani.
Mamani scores with a jab. Hell acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Hell on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Hell tries to clinch up but Mamani circles away and keeps his distance.
A little jabbing left from Mamani on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Hell moves forwards but Mamani connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Mamani misses with a hook. Hell ducked under it nicely.
A slow jab from Mamani misses its intended target.
Hell bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hell walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Hell darts in and clinches Mamani up against the cage.
Hell dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Mamani breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hell avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Mamani lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action!

Mamani throws a shot to the body.
Hell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mamani takes a swing at Hell's ribcage but misses.
Hell wants to clinch.
Mamani lands a two punch combo.
Eusebio Mamani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mamani misses with a few strikes there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hell dives in for a single leg takedown but Mamani sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Mamani appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Hell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hell shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mamani as he jumps to the side.

Hell will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mamani is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hell.
Mamani might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Mamani fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Mamani's corner calls for a 1-2. Mamani obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Mamani lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mamani misses with a few strikes there.
Hell with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mamani to score with a decent uppercut.

Hell is rocked!
Mamani fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Hell to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Hell looks to clinch but Mamani throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Hell taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Eusebio Mamani!
Our winner, Eusebio Mamani, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
