PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dawson Keen (ranked 5434 p4p, 5092 weight class) and Jamie Muri (ranked 574 p4p, 550 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jamie Muri!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Muri counters with a nice body kick.
Muri moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Good leg kick by Muri.
Muri fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Keen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Muri swings for the body but Keen moves out of range.
Keen fails with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Keen shoots in but no luck this time.

Muri dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Keen. That did some damage!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Keen crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Muri - the referee stops the clock and Keen gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Muri. Keen manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Keen goes for a double leg but Muri avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Muri continues to drive forward.

Well Muri has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
