Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Herve Cabrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yellow Belt Casey!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Casey throws a sloppy body shot
and Cabrera counters with a nice body shot.
A jab lands there for Cabrera.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cabrera darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Casey feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cabreras jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Cabrera tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cabrera throws a combination. Casey tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Yellow Belt Casey has been cut.
Cabrera is looking to chop away at Casey's legs.
Casey lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Casey misses with a body shot
and Cabrera cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
An inside leg kick lands from Cabrera.
Casey throws a leg kick that is checked
letting Cabrera counter with a right hand.
Cabrera catches Casey with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Casey is rocked!
Cabrera throws a nice inside leg kick.
Casey is still on wobbly legs! Can Cabrera finish him?
Cabrera throws a series of punches but Casey moves out of range.
Casey seems to have recovered his senses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cabrera with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Cabrera keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Cabrera steps in with a hook that catches Casey right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Cabrera follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Casey looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Herve Cabrera!
