Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bean Bryant !
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Iso Paa!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paa misses with a hook.

and Bryant counters by moving into the clinch.

Bryant blocks the body kick.
Bryant feinted with a counter takedown.
Paa misses with an uppercut. Bryant saw that one coming.
Bryant lands a glancing blow to the side of Paa's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bryant shoots in for a double leg but Paa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bryant looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Paa!

Bryant gets to mount! Paa was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Paa manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Bryant wants to pass to mount but Paa is defending the position.
Bryant is looking to stall here but Paa recovers full guard.

Paa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bryant pulls his head out easily.

Paa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bryant is working away from the top position though.
Bryant is looking to take a break and control but Paa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Paa wants to improve his position but Bryant is controlling well.

Bryant wants to pass the guard but Paa is keeping the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bryant scoring with some ground and pound.
Bryant is pushing down on Paa's leg trying to pass to half guard. Paa is fighting to maintain full guard but Bryant has managed to sneak the leg through.
Bryant wants to lay and pray for a moment but Paa keeps working.
Bryant is pressing down on Paa's thigh, looking to free his foot. Paa is holding on for now.
Paa is looking to control Bryant 's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Paa avoid being mounted?

Bryant looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Bryant prevents Paa from improving his position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

A slow jab from Paa misses its intended target.
Bryant half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Bryant fails to land the takedown.
Paa scores with a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bryant closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Paa moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Paa is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bean Bryant overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Paa pulls Bryant in to control the position.

Paa had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bryant defends it easily.

Bryant slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Bryant not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Paa had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bryant defends it easily.
Bryant tries to free his leg and advance position but Paa is retaining full guard.

Paa has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bryant can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bryant wants to control from the top but Paa keeps moving.

Bryant trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bryant passes Paa's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Paa blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bryant .
Bryant takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Paa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Paa is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bryant 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bryant 's back!
Bryant is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Our spies down at at Räkälä inform us that Paa has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Bryant won't enjoy being in this position. Paa looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Bryant is tapping - it's over boys! Paa picks up the submission victory!
