Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Lee (ranked 2667 p4p, 2054 weight class) and Grow Up (ranked 349 p4p, 260 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Grow Up!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lee shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lee showed some decent athleticism there.
Up looks like he's trying to stand up.
Up missing with punches from the bottom.
Up manages to get to full guard.
Lee slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee trying to control but Up is working from the bottom.
Up is adopting a defensive guard.

Lee throwing strikes but missing.
Up is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Up tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lee wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Up is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Lee off and has taken his back!
Up has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Lee's body.
I really don't envy Lee right now.
Up biding his time, controlling Lee.

Up throwing sloppy strikes.

My spies in Ludus Magnus inform me that Up has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Up is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Lee is defending well though. Up let's go of the attempt for now.
You can see the frustration on Lee's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
We've been hearing good reports from Lee's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Up slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

That was a close round but I would say that Robert Lee will probably get the nod.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Up is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lee shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Up pinned against the cage. Up gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Up seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lee does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Up sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lee somewhat.

Lee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Up's waist but Up gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side.

Up might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lee haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Robert Lee.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
